Alex Jones Benefit Piano Recital

Saturday, December 21 at 7 pm

Come and enjoy an evening of piano music to celebrate the holiday season! On Saturday, December 21 at 7:00 pm in the Good Shepherd sanctuary, Alex Jones will be performing some original arrangements of Christmas carols and some classical works in a solo piano concert! Alex started playing the piano at 10 years old, studying with Jan Music in Olympia. He quickly began absorbing as many styles of playing as he could, including classical, ragtime, blues, jazz, funk, and musical theater. In 2020, Alex completed a Bachelor’s of Music degree in Piano Performance from Pacific Lutheran University, where he studied with the acclaimed pianists Oksana Ejokina and Cassio Vianna. Alex’s current work involves operating a small private studio of piano students, playing with the Mud Bay Little Big Band, and accompanying local singers and instrumentalists. This event will be free and open to everyone, hosted by The Lutheran Church of The Good Shepherd. A free will offering to benefit the ministries of Good Shepherd will be collected.
