Liberation Theology Discussion Group

Every Other Wednesday Evening, Nov. 6 & 20, 5:30 pm in Room 114

After the success and thrilling conversation of last year’s Queer Theology Discussion Group, Pastor Bergen will be leading a follow-up program called Liberation Theology. It will cover the emerging theologies of the past century that respond to the deep systemic injustices and inequalities that permeate our world through the witness of particular groups and identities. Queer Theology had its origins in Liberation Theology, so if you are interested in Queer Theology, then you will love Liberation Theology!

Check out the video below to see whether you might be interested in Liberation Theology. And if you know that you are interested, watch it anyway. It will provide you with a foundation of the history and key principles of Liberation Theology, and will help inform fantastic discussions!

Liberation Theology will take the form of a discussion group that begins with a lesson component. It will run from 5:30 pm - 6:45 pm on every other Wednesday evening, Oct. 9 & 23, Nov. 6 & 20 in Room 114. No dinner will be provided, but you are invited to bring your own dinner to eat! The church kitchen will be open for any who need utensils, a microwave, or a toaster oven.
