EV Car Show

An Electric Vehicle car show will be one of the main highlights among many other eco opportunities presented to visitors at the Eco Fair and Art Festival. Hosted by the Thurston Climate Action Team’s Electric Vehicle Action Group, you will have the opportunity to meet and talk with owners of EV’s. This is your chance to get the real facts about owning an EV and why these owners love theirs

On-Site e-Recycling

What on Earth Can YOU Do? You can dig up all those old electronic devices that are just gathering ‘bugs’ or have gone to cyber heaven. Bring them to the Good Shepherd Eco Fair and Art Festival to drop off at the FREE e-recycling station and send them on a journey into new life as something else. While you’re at the fair come visit all the Eco booths, artists and EV car show.

Art Festival

An accomplished group of local artists and crafts persons have come together to inspire you at the Art Festival section of the Eco Fair.  Each artist will be vending items that are nature based, with some items created, repurposed or upcycled from existing materials. Eco Art creates a connection to the natural world as it promotes an appreciation for the environment and encourages people to take action to protect it. Artists include a selection of artists from Gallery Boom, Rayleen Lilley, Kathleen Mason, Connie McGuire, Marcia McLaughlin, Kathy Peterson, Andreah Pierre, Lorna Sheveland and a coop of artists from Good Shepherd Lutheran.  For a complete list of exhibitors and descriptions of their works, see the List of Participants.

Good Shepherd Artists

As part of the Eco Fair and Art Festival several artists and crafters from Good Shepherd have put together a beautiful display of their works.  Items include Lorna Shevelands’s nature-based oil paintings, Connie Klein’s glass plant stakes, hand-painted silks by Lynn Forrey, and hand-sewn quilts created by the Koinonia Quilters. Julie Hustoff presents her upcycled wine bottle decorative lights and Richard Dlugo will be displaying decorative wood turnings.  Come see our artwork and that all our participating artists.  It will help you think about nature and the need to preserve it.  For full information about the event and a list of all other artists and their media, please see the List of Participants.
