Our Congregation is committed to generously donating 10% of our annual general fund offerings to Charitable Organizations (including support for our Southwest Washington Synod). We also include 10% of the average return from a Local & World Investment Fund in the giving totals. Each year, we invite voting members to submit proposals and/or attend a meeting where we discern where our Benevolence will go. LCGS members must submit a proposal for each organization to be considered. We will not carry forward a list of past recipient organizations. In addition, the organizations are to have a relationship with GS, our ministry and our mission. The proposals, at a minimum, should include the name of the organization; their Web link; a brief description of their mission; and their alignment/connection with Good Shepherd, ministries and mission.

Please send your proposals to: treasurer@gsolympia.org. Deadline is January 10, 2025. Plan to join the virtual meeting on Thursday January 16, 2025 at 7pm. The link to the meeting will be available the week before in the Friday email.
