New Confirmation Program
Confirmation is the Lutheran church’s process of giving you the education, relationships, and experiences you need for deepening your journey in living a confident and courageous faith. It is where you make a commitment to growing in faith and life, and the church makes a commitment to you in a deeper way. At Good Shepherd, Confirmation will be a 2-year process of classes, retreats, relationships, service, and leadership that culminates in a public expression of your evolving faith journey. Good Shepherd’s Confirmation program will begin in January of 2024.
Historically, Confirmation has been intended for youth (age 12 and above), and this is the age group that the Good Shepherd’s program is built to support. However, people of all ages are encouraged to go through the Confirmation journey if they feel like they have experienced significant developments in their faith and desire to deliberately explore this faith.
Confirmation classes will be held at Good Shepherd on every other Wednesday evening from 5:45 - 7 pm (NOTE: Beginning May 15, classes will begin at a NEW TIME from 5:00-6:00 pm).
