Taken literally, the word Lent means that this is the time of year when the days lengthen. This season of the church year is a time of preparation, reflection, growth, and change. During Lent we come together to sustain ourselves, each other, and our relationship with God.

Throughout this season of Lent, we invite one another to prepare food to share. This is one way we prepare for Jesus’ arrival in Jerusalem. Then we’ll gather together at tables to share a midweek meal. We’ll have time for sharing and reflection. We’ll offer our responses as well as gifts to God. Our voices will join in song and our ears will listen for God’s love in a world of both abundance and need. As we journey together, we will fall deeper into rhythm with God and one another. Join us February 21, 28 and March 7, 14, and 21. Lenten midweek worship begins with dinner at 5:45 p.m. in Crary Hall and will transition into the Sanctuary at 6:30. Look for the sign-up to bring soup, bread, or rolls for midweek dinners or to help with set-up and clean-up in the Narthex.
