Palm Sunday – April 14 – 9 a.m.
Holy Week begins with a palm procession and the proclamation of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem. On this morning we take the first steps along the journey to the table on Thursday, the cross on Friday, and the empty tomb on Sunday.
Maundy Thursday – April 18 – 6 p.m.
Throughout this interactive and family-friendly Maundy Thursday service, we have opportunities to live out Jesus’ commandment to love one another. As Jesus washed the feet of his disciples, we are called to follow his example as we humbly care for one another, especially the poor and the unloved. At the Lord’s table we remember Jesus’ sacrifice of his life, even as we are called to offer ourselves in love for the life of the world.
Good Friday – April 19 – 12:05 and 6 p.m.
In the second of the Three Days, we offer honor and reverence to the one who, lifted up from the earth, draws all people to himself. A service of music, prayers, and readings from scripture with the gradual extinguishing of candles celebrates the mystery of Jesus’ dying and rising.
Easter Vigil – April 20 – 7:30 p.m.
Putting off sleep to watch and pray, we gather in late evening darkness. In the preceding days, we had travelled deeper into shadow, from table to cross to tomb. On this night, however, we hear beloved stories woven with the wild elements of the universe: fire, water, song, and light. We gather to usher in the Day of Resurrection and the rising of our hope and joy.
