Praise Him with trumpet sound;
Praise Him with harp and lyre.
Praise Him with timbrel and dance;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe.
Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
-from Psalm 150

Based on the mandate in our scriptures and on the real delight of having instruments share music in worship, there is always an ongoing treasure hunt for instrument players.

Often a choir anthem calls for a solo instrument part.  Beyond that, we are eager to include instruments as a part of our music liturgy.

Within our church family, we currently have several instrument players.  This includes folks who play piano, flute, recorder, violin, viola, cello, string bass, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, flute, recorder, clarinet, oboe, english horn, bassoon, harp, euphonium and vibes !

If you are an instrumentalist and would enjoy sharing music in worship, please contact Dale Forrey, Chancel Choir Director at dale@gsolympia.org.
