Here at Good Shepherd we operate on a few different calendars. We’ve got the church year, the calendar year, the fiscal year, and the school year. And right now, we’re looking at the school year and saying “Yay! It’s time for Sunday School & Bible Study again!”
We want to offer opportunities for all ages, sometimes together, and sometimes in different rooms. It’s important to our faith community to learn and grow together!
This fall we’re continuing to use the WHIRL! Curriculum for Sunday School. Whirl brings kids into the life of the church with a fun, lectionary-centered curriculum for pre-K through grade 2. Our 3rd-5th graders are going to do a new topical Bible exploration. We’re also planning lots of great activities for Sunday School throughout the year.
Confirmation class is moving to the Education Hour too! Youth who aren’t in Confirmation or have completed Confirmation will meet for Youth Bible Study across the parking lot in Shepherd’s Corner.
The Adult Forum series will begin with three sessions focused on Caring for Creation. The forums take place in Room 160 beginning at 10:15.
Pr. Knutzen will be leading Adult Bible Study in Room 219 beginning at 10:15.
We hope that wherever you are on your journey of faith that you will find a place to wonder, learn, and respond here at Good Shepherd.
Your help is needed! We need teachers and volunteers for Sunday School and Youth Bible Study, to prepare curriculum during the week and to help teach on Sundays. Please contact Allison [email protected] if you’re interested.
