Join us on Sunday, August 20 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. in Crary Hall for a potluck event to raise money for CIELO’s Immigration Family Fund. Please bring your favorite dish. Roasted chicken will be provided-plus Latino music! Charo Portaro, director of CIELO’s Education Program, will speak.
Immigrant families in the South Sound are at risk of being deported, and this risk appears to be intensifying. It is up to us to help fund efforts to protect our most vulnerable sisters and brothers and their families.
If you would like to contribute, you may give a donation when you come to the potluck, or you may mail a check to CIELO at 1601 North St. SE, Olympia, WA 98501. Please write “Immigrant Family Fund” in the memo line.
This event is co-sponsored by Interfaith Works, Holy Wisdom Inclusive Catholic Community, St. Benedict Episcopal Church, Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Olympia Universalist Unitarian Church, First Christian Church, St. John’s Episcopal Church, and other faith communities.
