Join the scouts at Troop 266 for camping, hiking, leadership and high adventure. Our scouts and adult leaders invite you to check out scouting at Good Shepherd.
Our Tuesday evening meetings start at 7 and our troop is large enough to have lots of activities and our scouts come from many of the schools around Olympia. Whether you want to serve the community, learn Scout skills and earn merit badges or just love to be outdoors in our beautiful corner of the country, we have activities for you to enjoy. Our Scouts attend High Adventure camps, NW area summer camps, local events and regional Pacific Crest Trail hikes as well as traditional camping and outdoor activities.
We strive to the goal of World Class Scouting and our motto is ESAM- Every Scout Absolutely Matters. That means that every scout gets included – no one is left out. We offer a positive environment with trained adults and older boys helping younger ones. Leadership is encouraged and taught so boys grow up with skills for life and great memories of their scout years. We encourage safe outdoor activities, teamwork and service to community (including our church communities).
As a ministry of Good Shepherd we are a welcoming troop. We welcome members who practice reverence for God as part of the Scout law and come from other faiths.
